What is the best AOSP boxes in 2021?

The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) box has so many different types, when you search for android tv boxes on AliExpress, you will find thousands of boxes waiting for you to choose.


Many people may think that how can we find the best Android tv box?

We can spy on the quality of a box through many parameters，

Android boxes have many parameters, such as:

OS: Android7.1, android 9.0, android 10.0, android11.0.

Chip running cores: Dual Core , Quad-Core , Hexa-core , Octa-core 

RAM (Random Access Memory): 1GB/2GB/4GB/8GB

ROM(Read-Only Memory): 8GB/16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB

CPU: (central processing unit)

GPU: (graphics processing unit)

Both of these boxes use Amlogic's chips: Amlogic S905X4 and Amlogic S905X3.

The common chip manufacturers on the market are mainly Amlogic, RockChip, and Allwinner. 

Amlogic Inc. founded in 1995, is not only the oldest company but also a leader in the chip industry. The chips produced are also relatively the best.

These two boxes are the latest chips of Amlogic. It is also very popular in 2021.

Comparison of the two boxes:

They have a lot in common, both are Quad-Core, both have 2.4G/5G wifi, and both support 8K decoding.

The difference is that the chip used by the X96X4 is newer than the X96 Max+, and the function of the X96 X4 is better.

The X96X4 uses Android 11.0. The X96 Max+ uses Android 9.0. X96 X4 OS is newer than X96 Max+, but the X96X4 has a problem is that the Android 11.0 system is too new, many software have not been updated to compatible with Android 11.0. Therefore, some software cannot be used on the X96X4.

X96 Max+ has no such problem, Android 9.0 is compatible with almost all apps.

X96 MAX+ supports 1000M network. For customers who use 1000M network at home, X96 MAX+ is more suitable for them.

The X96X4 box has a circle of aperture around it, and the aperture will also change when using it. Many customers are also deeply attracted by this.

How to Update H96 Max RK3566 TV Box Firmware by USB file?

Now the H96 Max RK3566 tv box has released new firmware updating to fix some bugs. And its easy to do it with USB directly. First and most important, reset the USB flash disk to be [ FAT mode], then download the h96 max rk3566 tv box new firmware file to USB. (dont do any changes about the file). Connect tv with h96 max 3566 tv box and turn it on, then connect USB with the tv box, that will identify the firmware file automatically.
